In the last 50 years of the roof tent story sleeping in a hard shell roof tent was limited by the roof size of the vehicle. Thanks to the iKamper Sky4x, the world’s largest, fold-out hard shell roof tent, finally, the whole family has space.

EXTREMELY STABLE

The floor of the iKamper Sky4x roof tent is made of aluminium honeycomb panels. This material offers unimaginable stability and is also still very light. It is fireproof, environmentally-friendly (being fully recyclable) and also provides an insulating layer to the sleeping area of the tent.

STARLIT SKY WINDOW

Another innovation of the Sky4x Roof Tent is the gloriously large PVC panorama window over the sleeping area, during the daytime it lets the sunlight and at night we can look at the stars, it can hardly get any more romantic.

EASY ASSEMBLY

The roof tent can be mounted on almost any vehicle. You only need two cross load carriers / load carriers. Thanks to its low weight, the Sky4x can be lifted onto the roof by just two persons, simply like a roof box, and attached to the cross load carriers with the cushioned mounting clamps.

VERY STABLE IN THE WIND

You cannot choose the weather sometimes. But also for these situations, the Sky4x roof tent is very well- prepared by iKamper. Even exposed to stormy winds of magnitude 8, the roof tent shows its robust side and remains firm.

MATERIAL

The tent fabric consists of a very high quality and heavy cotton-blended fabric, also known as canvas or sailcloth among other names. The fibre is a material work of art made of cotton and polyester and combines the advantages of a natural fibre with those of a modern high-tech material. The result is a strong, breathable fabric with a pleasant feel and great dimensional stability that is perfect for the European weather.

3-LAYER WINDOW

The windows in the Sky4x Roof Tent consist of three layers. Firstly comes the very fine but robust mosquito net, which blocks the way even to the smallest flying insects. Rain protection is provided by the transparent film, which lets in the sunlight even in the strongest storms. Finally, the canvas outer layer which protects against prying eyes.

The special design of the fibreglass hard shell not only reduces air resistance on the road. The unique hard shell of the Sky4x has a special air zone between the outer and inner trim. This air zone makes the hard shell not only extra strong and durable but isolates the interior of the roof tent also against sound and cold. iKamper lets hard shell be produced by experts, with more than 30 years of experience in the production of high-tech glass fibres.
